Association „Health Mission“ signed the Memorandum of Cooperation with the Public Media Institution Radio Television of Serbia who initiated the national campaign „Cancer can be cured“ in collaboration with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Serbia, and with the participation of the Institute of Oncology and Radiology of Serbia, Institute of Public Health of Serbia „Dr Milan Jovanović Batut“ and numerous health and professional institutions and non-governmental organizations in Serbia.
The aims of the campaign are as follows:
- Behavior changes in the population of Serbia to avoid the risk factors related to cancers that can be successfully prevented,
- Education and indication of the significance of regular preventive check-ups to diagnose the cancers in the early stage and enable successful healing, and
- Information on new methods and therapies in treatment of different malignant diseases.
During the campaign regular media contents related to cancers will be broadcasted on the Radio Television of Serbia and many professionals, specialists, representatives of different associations will be hosted. A road show will be organized in many cities in Serbia where preventive check-ups for early detection of cancers will be performed, together with media events, distribution of promotive materials, etc.
The Association „Health Mission“ will participate in the organization of public events and national actions, in preparation the promotive materials and in fund raising necessary for the implementation of the campaign.
A lot of socially responsible companies have jointed the campaign.
