Mission
The name itself implies that the mission of our Association is HEALTH. To improve the health of the population, it is necessary to act on the individual and at the system level. Therefore, our mission is twofold:
- Empowerment of individuals for health and
- Partnership and support to the health care system
- Empowerment of individuals for health is one of the basic preconditions for the improvement of not only personal health but also the health status of the entire population. In this regard, the Association Health Mission focuses its activities on:
- Providing clear and evidence-based information on current public health issues and priorities, using various means of communication with the public;
- Raising awareness and educating the population on health promotion, prevention of risk factors and control of diseases of major public health importance; and
- strengthening individual capacities for better control over and improvement of their own and community health.
- Partnership and support to the health system are another important factor in improving the health of the population. To this end, we:
- Identify public health issues and advocates for their solution;
- Conduct research;
- Develop and implement projects that offer effective solutions, with the potential to be integrated into the health system;
- Mobilise a wide range of civic, private and state partners for implementation of Association’s activities; and
- Establish cooperation with domestic and international organisations with similar missions and goals.
