Maja Stosic is a medical doctor, specialist in epidemiology. She obtained a master’s degree in the field of public health and health management and a doctoral degree in the field of public health.
She is a Tuberculosis (TB) Program Coordinator at the National Institute of Public Health „Dr Milan Jovanovic Batut“, member of the Republic TB Commitee of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Serbia and WHO/ECDC focal point for TB Surveillance.
She is a member of the Republican Expert Commission for Tuberculosis of the Ministry of Health and the Commission of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis. Her experience is related to the management of health programs through the coordination of the tuberculosis prevention and control program, the implementation of the national tuberculosis control project funded by the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria within the Ministry of Health, the implementation of numerous EU projects in the field of prevention and control of infectious diseases, implementation of international health regulations, HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis, public health and wellbeing, prevention and control of COVID-19 with special emphasis on COVID vaccination and immunogenicity and effectiveness studies of vaccines against COVID-19. She participated in the development of many health policy documents, strategic plans, development of project proposals, monitoring and evaluation plans and research in the field of public health. She participated and was a lecturer at various domestic and international educations and conferences. At Singudunum University, she was elected to the position of Assistant Professor in the area of Public Health.
She is dedicated to efficiency, effectiveness, knowledge sharing, teamwork, innovations and progess in public health research, education and practice.
